My favorite restaurant is a family style Oaxaca joint in the heart of Koreatown. The dishes are very unique … and like Mexican …. but more interesting and unique! Oaxaca is well know for its mole: thick, rich sauces made with a combination of chocolate, chili, spices and nuts. This is the one restaurant we always have to take friends visiting from out of town. On this occasion, our good friend Mike was visiting from up North, and he is one of my favorite people to eat, drink and cook with. As we drank more and more of the Mezcal margaritas, we became more adventurous and ordered their famous grasshoppers!
